Mosquito Hill Nature Center is involved in several Citizen -based monitoring projects. The ones dealing with cavity nesting birds are supervised by me. The center currently monitors for Bluebirds, Wood ducks, Prothonotary Warbers and now Am. Kestrels. Hopefully our efforts will help the kestrel populations. The boxes just went up this spring. This season we raised some starlings but no kestrels. Maybe next year.
