Well, I guess my reporting job is over and I will miss doing this. All chicks have left the box. Got some screen shots of the Male Fledgling attempting to enter the box and have posted on Flickr- http://flic.kr/ps/2dtbqo- Like anything else though, I couldn't figure out why they didn't post in order.
Noticed a characteristic on the fledglings, they bob their heads a lot. Didn't notice this on the adults but didn't see them for any length of time like I have the fledged
Been watching all morning and then missed the last one to fledged because I was posting the awesome screen shots of the attempt by the male fledgling to enter the box
Chick was sleeping. Either mom or dad flew up and hit the box. Woke up chick. I appears now chick is looking for something to eat in the bottom of the box.
Busy morning. Female chick finally rested in cavity. Lighting not good outside yet but I believe it was the male fledgling that came to sit on top of the box. Then both mom and dad flew around the box. The male then left and now we are back down to the female chick resting in the cavity.
Food was brought and one female grabbed it. The other female attempted to get a share. They went around the box a couple of times before the 2nd female grabbed and got a piece. Then it was tug of war until a piece broke off. Both females ate some then
Wind is very bad and visibility is poor. Female attempted to enter the box and didn't make it. Both chicks huddled together but still have been doing some preening
